Description

  • Fly fishing isn’t just a hobby—it’s an art. And we’ve got front-row access to one of Colorado’s most iconic rivers, right in our backyard.

On the Fly introduces young anglers to one of Colorado's greatest outdoor traditions through hands-on instruction, conservation, and time on the water. Designed for beginners ages 9–13, participants will learn the fundamentals of fly fishing while building patience, confidence, observation, and respect for the natural world.

Led by an experienced fly fisherman, participants will learn everything from casting and knot tying to reading water, selecting flies, and understanding the rivers and ecosystems that make Summit County such a remarkable place to explore.

Whether your child has never picked up a fly rod or is eager to improve their skills, On the Fly provides a welcoming environment where learning happens one cast at a time.

Because at TREK, we believe some of life's best classrooms don't have four walls.
